Jaap Mala ("the App") is a personal devotional counter app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your choices.

Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we collect:

• Your name and email address (from your Google account)
• A unique Google account identifier
• Your profile photo (if available)

When you use the App, we store:

• The names, icons, and targets of malas (counters) you create
• Your tap counts and timestamps for each mala
• Your theme preferences

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Identify your account and sync your data across your devices
• Display your malas, counts, and progress
• Send local reminders about approaching target dates

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your account and mala data is stored in a Salesforce database that we operate. Authentication tokens are exchanged via a secure proxy service (Cloudflare Workers) that does not store your personal data.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings tab within the App. This will remove your account record, all malas, and all count history from our systems immediately.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the App may send local reminders about your malas. These notifications are generated and scheduled on your device and do not involve any external service.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
